ABOUT THE BARRYVILLE AREA ARTS ASSOCIATION

The Barryville Area Arts Association (BAAA, established 2006) is a diverse group of over 135 dedicated creative artists and arts advocates who have joined together for the purpose of promoting and supporting an already strong and growing arts community.

Our designated region crosses both sides of the scenic Delaware River: Barryville, Eldred, Glen Spey, Highland Lake, Minisink Ford, Pond Eddy, and Yulan in New York State; Greeley, Lackawaxen, and Shohola in Pennsylvania.

We are committed to what we create, and enjoy exchanging ideas and information about ‚ our creative process. We also enjoy are passionate about bringing this art into the unique ‚ towns where we live. We believe strongly in the power and democracy of art, and allowing its impact‚ to be felt by all.

Our members are an eclectic mix of painters and potters; designers and sculptors; writers and musicians; performers and photographers; filmmakers and quilters; and impossible-to-describe. We are natives and transplants; full-timers and part timers; city hardened and country reprieved; long time professionals and emerging creators.

Our homes and studios are a unique reflection of us: an array of fantastic gardens, views, historic renovations, tempting kitchen aromas, and magic all around. We are all conveniently congregated within a 15 mile radius of one another. Every overgrown path, creaking stairwell, vine-covered shed, crumbling rock wall, rickety porch and wildflower patch leads to more‚ and more‚ art.

We are proud to be part of our growing arts community. Please visit our pages‚ and if you live in the area, please consider joining.

Oh, and one more thing.
Please spread the word that it’s important to support local artists!
