Joann Wells Greenbaum
Painting - Gouache with Pen and Ink

Joann Wells Greenbaum received a BA in fine arts from the University of Maryland in 1972. 
Since then she has continued her education through private lessons in ceramics and painting.
Her work has been inspired by such artists as Matisse, Thomas Hart Benton, Maurice Sendak
and traditional Japanese woodblock prints, to name a few.

Joann has exhibited her artwork in nationally juried art shows and in select galleries, and has
taught ceramics and painting to children and adults for over twenty-five years.  Since August
2007, she has been the artist coordinator for monthly art shows and artist receptions held at
Davis R. Chant Realtors in Milford, PA.  The openings for these shows are part of Milford’s Art
After Dark event, held on the 2nd Saturday of each month.

Greenbaum's current body of work reflects her whimsical approach to traditional subjects. With
bright colors and fluid lines, Joann expresses her vivid imagination with humor and
enchantment.
