Kim Lust
Potter
Kim Lust has been producing high-fired stoneware pottery since 1990. Kim’s passion for clay
was awakened while taking a pottery class in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was immediately captivated
by the versatility of clay. For over 10 years Kim has studied with many well-known master
potters and has taken numerous clay workshops.
Kim’s creative line includes teapots, mugs, bowls, casserole dishes, and decorative pieces for the
home, all in a varied color palette of blues, greens, reds, and earthy tones. All of these wares
can be see in her studio located in Glen Spey, New York just minutes off of scenic Route 97,
which runs along the beautiful Delaware River. All pottery is created by hand (using the potter’s
wheel or slab roller) from stoneware clay and glazed with her own lead-free glazes. Kim achieves
her brilliant colors through gas firing her work in a 50 cubic foot gas kiln. She has taught
pottery to every age group and has held summer camps for children.
All of Kim’s pottery is oven, microwave proof and dishwasher safe.
